what dvd drive to buy?

what hardware should i buy to copy succesfully rip and burn the close as possible quality to a dvd without buying a dvd-r???

I can fully recommend the Pioneer 16x. One can be had for a little over $50 at newegg and does the job quite well.

The Lite_on 16x gets good reviews as well, and is faster at dvd-ripping than the pioneer, but I've been told is far niosier. Plus, I have a concern with the quality of Lte-on's, but that's just a personal thing.

I recommend going with the Pioneer 16x as well. I just bought it a month ago and it works great. Plus I got the slot loading one, so that's a bonus. :)
