Dear Newbies and Pro´s:
=======================
I make DivX Movies since 2 years.
I always thought that the resizer
(bicubic;bilinear;pseudo/precise bicubic)
only has influence on the quality.
Last Sunday I made a comparison
...and I wondered....
Xmpeg 4.2a bilinear 8,0MB
Xmpeg 4.2a bressenham 9,0MB
Xmpeg 4.2a bicubic 6,6MB
DVD2AVI 1.82 7,5MB
mpeg2avi 0.15ogo 7,5MB
...every AVI was...
1- the same minute (I also did a 11min test: bicubic 83MB;
bressenham 95MB)
2- with the same size and cropping
3- with the same DivX 4.12 settings
4- in the same movie
Why are there such big diffrences (+36%)??? And why is the "better" bicubic (it writes more data to disk!!!) not bigger than the "more losless" bilinear???
I would be happy about any reply =8-)
Thomas
sorry for my bad english - i'm a german
