Oke,
Untill now I've always encoded with fixed subtitle in my svcd. I want to go way ahead and decide to make a selectable sub, so
after encoding I now have a 1,4 gb MPV and a 150 mb MP2 file I'm now ready to extract the desired sub using I-author and mux the whole thing . In advance I'am wondering, when I do a cut@xxmin on the final muxed file afterwards, what will happen with the subtitle ? Will the second cd also give the option to select/deselect the sub,can I expect any problems here or is it a waste of time anyway?

Both CDs should behave as completely independent movies. Subtitles are muxed all along the mpeg, so slicing the mpg should not hurt the subtitling.

I have tried cutting the muxed file afterwards using TMPEG...it strips the subs off!

Instead do some math and cut the muxed file before you add the subs, preferably use a cutting point where no sub should be displayed.

Use SubRip to "cut" the subtitle timing file.

(Succes)Good luck!
