Let's see:
WHen I launch Stargate with PowerDVD, movie plays fine, with NO SUBTITLES, except when Ra talks in egyptian to James Spader, so spanish subtitles automatically appear ONLY for those dialog sequences and ONLY for Ra, not the whole movie.
So if I want to reauthor the movie with DVDMaestro, how should I proceed to leave such intact?
I read past threads about subtitles but I'm afraid I don't fully understand them or not sure if they can help me.
Can any1 help me out?
Thnks!

I don't know much abouth riping but I have a idea how to solve this with authoring.
How many subtitles do you wanna use? If you don't want to use subtitles other places just there where Ra talks than make subtitling at the Ra speach location, no more.
If you have a subtitle track and you want to have subtitle if the subtitle is set to NO , than make a new subtitle track with text only there where Ra talk. On the language menu you have a Off button, make this button to select the "only Ra subtitle" track.
We can make it much more difficult if you have 6 subtitle languages. Than you have to make 6 extra tracks and with use of a Command Sequence you select the corresponding extra subtitle track if the user is choosing OFF.
If you are using all the subtitle-track for subtitling, than you can make a chapterpoint where Ra talks and make a Command Sequence to switch on the subtitling with the standalons default language. It's only a spekulation I don't know it it works.

What I was looking for is some kind of shortcut to author subtitles using the track I rip from the original DVD in the same way the origianl DVD is authored.
SO if I smartrip'n streamprocess the movie, the spanish audio track, the spanish subtitles track and the others track, how do i import that subtitles track into a new DVDMaestro project and make it play ONLY on the SAME spots the original DVD plays them?!?
Btw, what the heck is the OTHERS track in a Smartripper stream processing?

One of the "Other tracks" has to be the one I was talking abouth.
If you can finde it then use my metode to make a "no subtitle subtitle" track.
You can use a Command Seq. at the beginning of the main movie to swich the "no subtitle" subtitle track ON. On the language menu place an OF button to swich this subtitle track ON. It means if you wanna turn the subtitle off then you actually just turning the "no subtitle" track ON.

I just need to do the subtitling where RA talks, indeed, but I was hoping to have something more automatic rather than surfing the whole movie seeking the subtitle timings, then later surf to those sports, extract only those subtitles, then import only those subtitles, then master with Maestro only those subtitles and mess around with Command Sequences I've not met before.
Any other faster path? ;)
