When I try to run DVD2SVCD 1.0.7 b1 as well as b4, it says CCE encoder (standalone version) not found. I can run the encoder manually although.

It works fine on Windows 2000 Professional though.

Anyone has any idea how to make DVD2SVCD work on W2K Server?

Try to re-select CCE in the encoder tab to replace the default value. You might be having problems with the dos type path(c:\progra~1\CCE). Also make sure there are no special characters or anything out of the ordinary in the path.

I gave the path again and double checked that there were no special characters. As soon as I click on any tab, it pops up a message CCE encoder not found.

Anyone has some clue????

Thanks

Try this - it may help - Try running CCE manually ONCE by double clicking on the program icon in Windows Explorer or My Computer. After it is run once manually I think it sets up something in the registry of Windows so that your operating system will find it so that it can be used by DVD2SVCD.

I did run the CCE manually once and also changed the path in DVD2SVCD from DOS style (~) to Windows long file name style. It did not complain about the encoder but now CCE encoder crashes. It starts and crashes immediately.

Anyone has any clue?
