Well, I'm very very furious 'cause now I know that my Philips DVD 722 has a problem with firmware (2.9.6).
Every player has that firmware has problems with SVCD:
Time shown wrong.
ffw/rew doesn't work lenght > 40 mins.
svcd subtitles freeze player.
DVDs freeze 1-2 times every movie.
Now, we know it's not a problem of encoding, or authoring, 'cause with Philips SVCD Designer problems are still there.
It's a firmware problem!
Why doesn't Philips release a new firmware version?
Let's write to Philips and ask for a solution!
