I have noticed a difference in the way Tmpg(of course converting the .tpr file with VFAPIConv)and avisynth handle frameserving. For one thing, Tmpg looks like it already has corrected luma from the get-go. I also noticed that if you do your first pass with Avisynth but the 2nd one with Tmpg, The final avi file is ALWAYS smaller. Everything looks right, just that it is a smaller filesize. Anyone know why? The stats file made w/avisynth works just fine for it, since I input the same cropping and resolution, I use the same framerate. Anyone got any input on the pros and cons of each?
