Is it me, or does DIvx 5 make both Divx4 and Divx3 videos very grainy when they are playing back?

And also,
anybody used divx5 for encoding to pocketpc?
I'm getting shitframes like crazy when i try to playit back on an ipaq 3650, pocketdivx .8, at both 206mhz and 236mhz.

Thanks.

depends on the post-processing quality you are using. At full post-processing, videos are far from grainy (too far for my taste!).

I use it at default post-processing strength (2 down from max) and find all divx look pretty good.

Hm, but the weird thing is that it makes any video I play grainy, even at full post-processing.

I've just reinstalled Win2k too.

Make sure you got the newest drivers for your video card, and are using at least 24-bit color.

and are using at least 24-bit color. You don't need to set your video card to 24bit to watch divx. But you might have a problem with hardware overlay if the video only looks "grainy" in fullscreen (or any setting other than 100% size)

Hm, funny thing is that swtiching to 32 bit color worked.
Divx4 never had this problem.
