Been trying to do this with DVTools kit.
SNip the original VOB into smaller pieces until I get the favourite scene I want.
Sometimes the snipped VOB wont play in PowerDVD and it hangs requiring a Ctrl>Alt>Del to get back.
Demux using DVD2AVI for First Track audio and DVDWise for Video, then remux in DVWise the AC3 audio and the mpv.
sometime this works - but most of the time Power DVD hangs again....
Any other ideas?
