I am a new member to this forum. My appologies if I did not follow any norms. I have converted DVD (a 3hrs. long movie) using "dvd2svcd" package. Everything was automatic, but took more than 40 hours on a 600MHZ AMD! Now I have three 820MB BIN files along with CUE files. What is the next step? I have 80MIN CDs that may not hold these files! I have latest copy Nero. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I assume you mean 820,000KB, which is 800MB, which will fit on an 80 minute CD. Open Nero, choose "Burn Image", and load up the .cue file. Then just burn them.

Just make sure you have "overburn" turned on in Nero or it may balk at burning a slightly oversized file. You should be able to burn at least a 828 MB bin file with no problem on an 80 min CD - maybe even up to 835 MB depending on your burner.

I would not suggest using NERO to do bin/cue. I would say to use CDRWin. NERO sometimes doesnt burn correct.

Try one disk w/ NERO and one with cdrwin and you'll see a diffrence.

"I would not suggest using NERO to do bin/cue. I would say to use CDRWin. NERO sometimes doesnt burn correct."

Only catch here is that Nero WILL burn oversized files in the 900+ MB size for the new 90 and 99 min disks and CDRWin won't unless you go in and edit the cue file. IMHO VCDEasy ( using CDRDAO 1.1.5 )is better than either at burning bin/cue but I respect everyone's right at using what feels best for them. I use all three programs at various times and if I had to list them in order of FEWEST COASTERS to most coasters ( at least for me .. ) it would be ..

1. VCDEasy ( CDRDAO 1.1.5 )
2. CDRWin
3. Nero

I've only tried to burn a svcd once with nero... and it didn't play correctly :)
I use CdrWin and have had no problems with it.
The size of your files may be too large ! I try not to overburn with svcds. It's the better way to get good results and no playback problems.
