From what I can remember, the install is very straigthforward - start the Cinemaster 2000 install process, then you are presented early on in process with choice screen which says something like
-install full proggram
-install codecs only

You choose whichever you want, both work for this purpose

On my Win2K machine, the next time DVDMaestro started up, it detected the codec automatically (the message which says something like "no decoder found" did not show up)

If you are having problems, likely one of the 2 below is the reason:

wrong Cinemaster version - apparently it does not work with other and newer Cinemaster codecs

Competing DVD codecs within Windows - several of these software DVD players don't like one another. One option would be take out all such players eg PowerDVD etc, then try reinstall of Cinemaster. THis particular problem might even require a clean reinstall of Windows

Could you please tell us the version of dll's you are using?

Thanks

Glen.

that could be difficult to answer, as I opted to only install codecs
THese are installed in various subdirectories of C:\winnt, and I dont know how many codecs/filters were installed by cinemaster

having said that, I found a few obvious ones in the winnt subdirectories

cinemst2.sys v5.0.0.93
cinemsup.sys v1.0.0.1
cinemres.dll v1.0.2.27

there may be more

You don't have to install all the stuff from Cinemaster 2000.
Just the codec. It works well.
