ok, I have an anime DVD (street fighter alpha the movie).. I CANNOT get this thing IVTCed!! I have tried everything, greedyHMA, tmpgenc, IVTC4, and decomb. I hear that decomb is suppose to work well with anime.. but it isn't really for me. I have also tried many combinations of settings for all these methods.. can someone please help me out? thanks. oh, by the way, this is my method:
smartripper--->DVD2AVI(Video Type: Interlaced)--->VFAPI--->Avisynth(for the IVTC filters)
and when I used tmpgenc for IVTC, just put that after DVD2AVI.. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

btw: I cannot do a manual IVTC in tmpgenc, I would have to go frame by frame and I don't have the patience... especially for a 90 minute movie!!

Ready? Type this into your avs stript:

LoadPlugin(C:\where_is_your_\decomb.dll)
Telecide(post=false)
Decimate(cycle=5)

Along with your loading of your meg2dec dll, and your d2v, plus your resize filter, and whatever else you have that WILL work. Just make sure your other filters are AFTER decimate. If you have a clean DVD source leave post=false, if you think you have a bad DVD source just type:
telecide()
That's right..nothing in there, just straight up.

If you have more questions look at my page here:

Tmpeg also has a good ivtc filter, not as good/fast/no pre-rocessing as decomb, but its fine. Just use the auto settings sillyhead!
