View Full Version : OGG DS filter issue: multiplexer in GraphEdit

situation:
created 2 ogg vorbis streams at same quality (-q0.25).
following doom's guide rendered video stream (XVid, but with DivX the same) and audio streams.
deleted unnecessary filters, so left behind are sources and splitters in graph. If I now try to insert Ogg multiplexer it says: error, return code blah, filter may be in use. If I retry it succeeds without being stubborn. I won't be upset if the resulting ogm stream had played perfect in bsplayer, but it doesn't. After a while testing (seeking and changing audio stream is ment to be enough load) video hangs frozen, sound goes on, player has so far not crashed. Restart video is possible. No difference if XVid or DivX, that's why I think it has to do with the OggDSF. Yet, bsplayer could be blamed, also.
OggDSF 0986; bsplayerRC4.481 with ogg-support.
So I start wondering why the hell multiplexer is supposed to be already in use ??

I had this problem too.
I solved it by clicking the + beside the filter and THEN double clicking the filter. No problems then. I hope this works out for ya.;)

Double clicking the muxer indeed helps, but thers allso been reported problems when u try to install multiple audio streams or subtitle stream to multiplexer in win9x environment.
We hope that Tobias takes a look at this...

...I#m in fact using w98SE...
I found out that after multiplexing the resulting ogm is oversized meaning the overhead is over 30 MB- compared to simple addition of these files- which is by far too much especially because doom pointed out that the overhead with ogg files is smaller than with VBR-MP3 !!!
Tobias, please have a heart for old-fashioned...:scared:
