hi, got this error-message while compiling "end of days" with dvd-maestro:
"- During Muxing at least one instance of Buffer under-flow was detected. This is due to exceeding the Max. Bitrate."
not very nice, isnīt it?
the thing is that the *.m2v-stream is re-mpegeg with 90% of the bitrate, the ac3-stream is left original.
how can there be a "exceeding" of the max. bitrate?
copy-protection (lol)
how can I solve this problem?

I've had the same error a few times with DVD Maestro too. I just ignored it and burned the DVD-R and it worked fine. You can see what Maestro is talking about if your view your MPEG2 file with BitRate Viewer. There's probably one point in the MPEG2 file that spikes above 9800kbps.

yes, at the beginning of the film (intro) the sound get louder and louder, can see it with the bitrate-viewer of the player and then...the film suddenly "hangs" and then the film continues....
so I must re-mpeg the whole film at a lower bitrate.
The thing is that I already re-mpeged the film at 90%, what the hell is going on?
how can it be that the 90%-rempeged film plus the original audio-layer exceed the maximum bitrate?
it should be LOWER? how can the original film manage this?

you mess with the sound at all? .. the dvd specs count the combined bitrate of both the video and the audio ... but if you have kept the audio as arginal ... *shrug*

I think itīs a failure of Rempeg.
If youīre going to re-mpeg the german version of "end of days" at 90% bitrate (the film is after ripping only 70mb to big!) you īll see that the peak bitrate from the m2v-file will be 15! kbyte/s !!! and that īs of course out of the specs from the dvd!
After analysing the stream I re-mpeged it with re-mpeg 2nd time and limited the max bitrate to 8,7 kb/s, after 10h the film had a peak bitrate from about 16 kb/s (what a ****)
So I think itīs a problem with re-mpeg and Iīm gong to re-mpeg the film with tmpgenc tonight with vbr-2-pass and I īll see tomorrow if the film is correct or not.
(the original stram has a peak bitrate of ~8,8kb/s)
So how can the original film (that has a peak bitrate of 8.8) after re-mpeging become a max. bitrate of 15???
I really be
