help! :)

it simply doesn't work like i've seen it in the guide, here:

www.doom9.org/ogg.htm

in the example screenshot entitled:
"And here's an example with one audio stream and 2 subtitle streams:"
i'm quite sure i have everything installed what is needed to be since i have all directshow filters to arrange the filters like in the screenshot.
the only thing not working until now is when i try to connect a subtitle.srt to the input-pin of the subtitle parser, the parser gives me the following, well known, failure message:
"these filters cannot agree on a connection. verify type compatibility of input pin and output pin"
i already searched the forum, read the FAQ but found nothing to solve this...
even the part of the subrip-guide regarding mediaplayer didn't help: i made subviewer2.0 files which weren't accepted either and sub2sami doesn't seem downloadable at all (but i guess these subviewer2.0 and sami solutions aren't supposed to work in an ogged avi?!)
so what should i do?
(it's for a 1cd-rip)
1 x xvid.avi, 2 x ogg-audio-stream, 2 x subtitles in *.srt-format + graphedit... how?
THX !

so i understand now that a lot of subtitle questions regarding ogg, xvid, multiplexer are being asked (and answered)in the new A/V Formats Forum...
sorry about posting here. i didn't know what the problem really is (still not exactly) but i managed now to get all the filters connected in the right way (only thing i did was to uninstall vobsub, regsvr32 the subtitds.ax manually and installed the oggds-filters again).
now i get an "avi", which is supposed to have all the files included (2 ogg-streams of same quality, 2 *.srt files) but now the system reports that "mplayer2" did a "splitting" error in subtitds.ax:

MPLAYER2 verursachte einen Teilungsfehler in Modul SUBTITDS.AX bei 017f:015cb58f.

well, i also read that win98SE seems to have some problems with the ogg multiplexer... for instance: i don't get the multiplexer to offer me the same options like showed in the ogg-guide here:

http://www.doom9.org/images/oggmux-properties.gif

well, no subtitles then for me, i guess...

I'm getting the same errors you're talking about, but I believe Tobias is already working on fixing the subtitle filter.
