Possible to parse OGG-Files like AVI's

Is it possible to get all A/V-info by just parsing the header of an OGG file? Does anybody know how? I desperately need the info for adding OGG-support for my program (NBS-DivX Catalogue, you may check it out on http://www.cip.uni-trier.de/may/files.html. I know that OGG is just a container, but I don't know, where to find the original AVI-info and how to parse the vorbis-part (I need freq, bitrate, codec-id,mode).
