hi! since i'm new here, nice to meet everyone :p
ok, my problem is kind a simple to explain: i've been ripping and encoding dvd's for some time now but only recently i tried do mess with subtitles.
my first try was with VobSub, with wich i generated the infamous idx/sub files. i renamed them to match the avi and the playback was just fine. however, i could not change the color or the font or even ajust the position with the DirectVobSub configuration tool. i mean, i *could* change them, but there was no effect (off course i applied the changes and even saved the new config).
i then converted the .sub to .srt and everything worked fine. i now could change the font, color and position, using the DVobSub config for WMP or the built-in config of BSPlay.
am i doing something wrong with the .sub? i'm using DVobSub 2.09, DX8.1 and Windows2K with SP2.
TIA! :)
