SSA Script> MaestroSBT> IAuthor (etc...)>VOB file>VobSub

Whew... why? You'll lose the text, you'll lose colors (VOBs can have 2 colors (+bk, +outline) only), and you'll have quite a lot of work with it...

PS: If you want just to include switchable SSA subtitles WITHOUT including the SSA script, wait for official VobSub 2.10 - it supports SSA in its SubMux, so it will
1. look just as pure SSA and
2. will be switchable etc.
3. won't be editable

Then why use VobSub at all? Use just subtitler (in VDub) or TextSub (look around ^_^) (for AviSynth) to put SSA directly to video.
