VobSub & RAR v3 [Archive]

It seems that if you compress your .SUB file with RAR v3 and then try to play the AVI with VobSub (v2.09), VobSub is unable to handle the subtitles. Does RAR v3 use a different compression than its v2 predecessors? Will there be any fix for this soon?

Yes, it does use different compression (they changed at least file format and dictionaries, don't know what else). Solution: use previous rar for compressing .sub files...

It may not work but you could try to update the unrar.dll from http://www.rarsoft.com/rar/UnRARDLL.exe. I'll check what't going on later.
