This was the intent I had for getting PP involved. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from him since my original announcement.

I offered to hook him up with D A and Tobias but no response yet.

Welcome back Christian! Hope the vacation was nice.

I think Nic has been really busy with the Xvid DSF. I suspect he is trying to get it optimized and in a stable state. After that maybe we can talk him into the MC DSF:)

Argh!

Damn & blast....I just wrote a long reply & then my connection froze & lost it...Grrrr

Anyway this is the quick version:
1) Who is PP? Ill have to have a quick look :)

2) Tronic once stated he had problems with high res XviD playback....This bug should have been fixed...also XviD DSF is very fast now.

I hope all XviD's problems with Resolutions around 1024x768 & higher are fixed....& therefore XviD will be the main MPEG-4 format for MCF.

Cheers,
-Nic

ps
sorry if this reply sounds blunt-ish....the first one was a lot better :)

PP is Peter, author of some of the great WinAmp plug-ins. PP is also known as zZzZzZzZ on the Hydrogen board.

Nic,
I've never expereienced playback problems @ 1280x1024. Maybe I've just been lucky.
