gain_trickler_3102.exe is still here after uninstall!

OK I tried the gain version and later uninstalled Divx5 but unlike what they claim, the damn thing is still active in my memory. How can I cleanly remove it? Is just deleting the exe file a clean remove? Thanks!

Yep, that uninstall not only leaves the exe file untouched, the run command in the registry also stays on your system...

So, to have a clean uninstall, kill the process, delete the exe file and any other files in that directory *and* delete the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\Trickler

By the way, also delete all reg keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Gator.com\
