After being upset about D5 i uninstalled the pro version... anyways there are now 2 new programs that are running under my username in taskmanager in XP. Even after reboot. One is wow.exe with no mem taken up and the other is devldr.dll with 784k taken up... I ended both processes and nothing bad seemed to happen with my comp. I haven't run any executable or installed anything else since D5prospyware and was wondering if these are new progs or are they supposed to be there? I never payed too much attention to my processes recently cause i just reformatted and theres hardly anything on my HD besides office xp, some divx stuff, and halflife.
I appreciate the help!

It seems as though the Divx 5 Pro uninstaller doesn't clean up after itself:angry: I had the same issue, you need to run AdAware Plus to thoroughly clean the Gator up. LOL
However, the 2 task that you mention are not related to gator at all. They are normal XP tasks, I'm to tired to remember what they do ATM.
Just run the app I pointed out and you will be cleansed:D

what is it now, two days since the codec came out? and already uninstallation tips are being passed around in abundance :)
i personally uninstalled it yesterday, mainly so i could reinstall divx 4 for the compression check in gknot. i did some tests with xvid after i got fed up with divx 5 and was pleased with the results, but i have to say i'm going to hold off encoding anything for about two weeks or so... by then hopefully some of the issues with divx 5 will be addressed (or at least better understood), and/or hopefully xvid will be even better. i don't know when they plan to implement b-frames though, and i don't think they have a timetable (that's publicly known anyway) to do it in. in any case, in my opinion divx 5 is too shady right now to use anyway, despite its advances.
