I notice that soon, we can have MPEG4 streams to spec...

the DVD forum just releases a few days ago a statement saying that MPEG4 will be the spec for the next generation of DVD...

does this mean we now can start practicing for DVD autoring with divx5??

or does the DVD spec utilize other aspecs of MPEG4 that divx5 can not generate?? (such as sprites and object manipulation)

Even if DVD-Specs use sprites and stuff, you wouldn't have to use it...so if DVD-Players get ISO-Compliant and DivX5 is, too, it should work...at least the stream...no clue about file formats, but that will for sure be sorted out, if the time is right :-)
