I'm having troubles installing the DivX5 package... DivX5
installs successfully (no error, dll are copied, etc.)
and I'm able to decode files. But the encoder is missing,
ie it doesn't appear in virtualdub compressors nor in
the components mutimedia/video compressors in the
sysinfo tool. I tried various tips like clearing
some reg keys, (un)installing various versions
of divx (from 3.11 to 5), but it's always the same
sucking stuff : no encoder is available. Even the
good old 3.11 (low and fast) aren't available. I suspect
a corrupted registry, but everything seems to be OK...
I'm running a Windows XP PRO box (as administrator of
course). Please help.
