I've used the meritline DVDPro brand in a few different systems now with no problems. I put a dvdr in a Micron laptop with a Toshiba DVD-ROM and it just spins and spins. Eventually it will find the disk and display the title and files. Trying to access them, just spins and spins. I've updated the firmware on the dvd-rom and still the same. My question is this. Does it matter how the dvd was burned when using a pc dvd-rom? Shouldn't I have been able to even burn as just files and it would read it? I didn't, I used Nero and PrimoDVD on most. Is this just a problem with the drive not being able to read the media? The drive is about 1 year old and is 8x.
