MPEG-4 licensing fees

i was wondering how the mpeg-4 licensing fees will affect xvid?

*sigh* once more someone not respecting the forum rules.
We had SEVERAL threads about that.

Since xvid is an EDUCATIONAL project we need to pay no license fees.

So, our only legal use of Xvid (without mailing off a check for 50 cents to mpegla) is to help ourselves become more nowledgeable and smrter regarding mpeg-4 encoding and decoding techniques....any other usage, even "personal" usage for archiving etc, would be technically against the rules...
