How can i reduce the size of my movie-file? It is about 100MB about the limit (for 2 CDs). How can I reduce the size?

when all your movies you encoded
with Gknot are 100Mb to big,
change the Filesize of 2 CD`s
in the white box near the cd buttons
so that you are 100Mb under the normal size :) :) :)

For Example:

2 CD 800Mb = 1600 Mb

you type:

1500 Mb

And so you get your required Filesize !!!

You may be aware, having already read the guides that DivX 4 2-pass sizing is not as accurate as SBC (DivX 3). You have several choices:
Split the excess to another CD.
Cut out sections of your movie, such as leaders, opening credits, and end credits, using Nandub in direct stream copy mode.
Re-encode with DivX4, making size adjustments in the GKnot calculator.
Re-encode using DivX4Log, which is complicated to use (search the forum for details).
Re-encode with SBC or XviD.
1- Re-encode the movie with a lower bitrate if you still have the source (best solution).
2- Re-encode the avi file at bitrate that will result in a smaller file. This won't be a lower bitrate than you first used, but a much higher one. I don't know how you could predict this but you can try(will degrade quality quite a lot).
3- Cut off a part of the movie, like credits or intro (No quality decrease).
4- Demultiplex the audio, re-encode the audio to make it smaller, mux it back in (No video quality decrease).

EDIT: Didn't know jggimi had also responded already. Oh well..
