change aspect ratio [Archive]

I made a mistake with the aspect ratio. I chose 4:3, but 16:9 is right. The Problem is that i deleted all the vob-files. Can I change the avi-file? Is there a guide for it?

this is not really the appropiate forum, anyway:

of course you can resize the video, you can use again GK, then put the actual resolution in input and check the correct aspect ratio, you'll get an appropiate new resolution which you have to resize the video to, in virtualdub, for instance (you'll have to reencode), keep in mind that if you make any of the dimensions much bigger it will look bad so you'll probably better keep them closer to the 4:3 avi dimensions.
