If I unstill DivX4 and install DivX5, can I use the "Divx4" option in Gknot as DivX5?

in one of our posts I've read something about the maintain that if I unistall DivX4 and just install DivX5 that GKnot recognize in "Bitrate" -> "Codec" the DivX5 as the DivX4!

Sorry, dont know, where it I've read that, and the SEARCH function didnt help me.

But the question: is that true?

gknot recognizes the 5 codec as the 4.xx, but it can only use some parameters like the bitrate..., when you want to have b-frames or something else you have to change the values with virtualdub (video->compresseion->divx5) manually, 2-pass still doesn't work with gknot automatically...

you can also install the v5 over 4.xx without problems
