First off: Just used DVD2SVCD for the first time last night. This is
an INCREDIBLE package...For the first time EVER, I am satisified with the quality
of the resulting SVCDs ripped from a DVD. Many thanks to the authors!

OK, now the question. I recall reading in a DVD2SVCD overview that it could
also be used to go from .AVI to SVCD. I don't see the option of going from .AVI
files to SVCD. How do you do this? And is the suite clever enough to take a
set of .AVI files that constitute a continuous movie and use them as a set?

Now that I've seen the beauty that is DVD2SVCD, I'd really like to be able to
use it with home movies and other captures that are in .AVI format!

See the misc tab. Its the little button that says avi2svcd. You push it, then go to the conversion tab and load your avi.

You will need to combine your avi's with one of the numerous utilities available for doing so. Then load the combined avi as mentioned above.

Then, if you are up to it, you can write up a guide for using this feature from a new user's perspective. :)
