Hello
If DivX 4 codec can play an DivX 3 .avs, do I need the DivX 3 codec? Can it cause any kind of problem to install both? Thank you.

If you have DivX4 installed, you only need DivX 3.11 if you want to encode DivX 3.11 content (say, using Nandub).

If all you want to do is play avi's, be they DivX4 or DivX 3.11, then you are fine to install DivX4 on its own.

Oh, but nothing bad will happen if you decide to put DivX 3.11 on there too.

You will need DivX 3.11 for movies with DivX-audio (not mp3 audio).

Install DivX 4.12 before you install DivX 3.11, because then all your divx videos will be played back by the 4.12 codec - divx 3 videos also look better IMO when played back with the divx 4 codec.
