NERO 5.5+ how to burn a MP3

Does anyone know how to burn a mp3 onto a disc in NERO. Everytime I make an attempt to burn an mp3, it automatically turns into a wave file.

I want to burn an mp3 file so I can see if it plays on my stand alone dvd player.

Burn it in data mode/CDROM(ISO9660), not audio.

Thanks. But of course the damn things don't work on my Sony DVD Player. I thought it was worth a try. After all the box doesn't say it will play JPEGs, but it does by just burning the jpegs in the vcd mode with NERO.

My crappy Daewoo 5700 will play everything and it was less than 100.00.

if you burn jpeg in vcd template, they become mpg(1). there is no need to be surprised this plays fine on your dvd player.
