I've a problem with encoding with Gordian Knot as one fellow forum member told me it could be the something to do with Virtual Dub and I have also read that you can't piece this package together it has to be dl'd together etc. So my question to you is, I want to re-install gordian knot but how do I delete everything so that I can do that without getting everything twice or something like that.
Thanx.

Hey - how about deleting registry entries in gk, removing vobsub thru the add/remove progs window and the deleting the gordian knot folder ?
if u don't delete the reg entries then they'll still be there if u reinstall gk.

dude how do I delete the registry entries from Gordian Knot?? Call me computer illiterate or what but I have no idea how to do it. You know I've probably done it but just don't know the technical name for it. Anyways, let me know how to do that if you wouldn't mind.
Thanx man.

options -> delete registry entries :) from gk interface :) - or -
search the registry for "gordian" and delete the key with "slot 0" etc.

Is there a simplier way to do this or that someone could explain to me how to do cuz your not explaining in retard words and i think that's the only way I might understand. Sorry for bothering you. Thanks again ppl.

Hi-
As diji1 said (but not so elaborately), open GKnot-go to the Options Tab up on the top right-hit Delete Registry Keys.

Thanx manono, I don't usually go exploring with GKnot cuz there are too many options so I dont' even bother to try and figure them out taht's why I didn't know about that part. Anyways, does that mean I can now delete GKnot from my computer and re-install it or do I need to reinstall GKnot now that I've just deleted those Registry Keys. Cuz something happened to my audio and no one knows why so I decided that I'm going to delete GKnot and re-install it to hopefully cure the audio problem.
Tahnx ppl.

Yeah-When you have problems, just delete the whole thing and then reinstall the whole package together with the update. That may not solve your problems, but at least you'll know that they weren't caused by a bad install.

it wasn't a bad install cuz it worked for a couple months and then all of a sudden one day I couldn't get audio with video cuz something was happening to virtualdub.

so theres absolutely no way to just piece the package together?
i already have divx 3 and 4 installed .. so if i download the gknot package should i uninstall all the other compoenents i have first before i install the entire package?

to EuGeNiLe - never bothered to uninstall everything, but if u want to be safe then u can, if u don't and it doesn't work then the first thing u do is uninstall everything and reinstall ( doodah, doodah ) :).
to Dionysus - sorry i didnt elaborate to much on my answer ;) ... i remember theWEF saying in some post that deleting the registry keys is the answer to 95% of problems posted here ( ... he joking i hope :) ), but i think its the first thing u should try if u have a problem u can't fix - works for me anyway.
sorry about this but I'm retarded
stop saying that, hehe - everyones a newbie sometime - and u might start to believe it if u say it enough, lol ...

Well thanx for the reply. I tried deleting the Registry Keys, I should have known where they were, but didn't know if that's all I had to do or if that was the first step in uninstalling it. But I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it, and now everything is up to par. Thanks for your time, and I won't say it anymore (being retarded) I just feel like it cuz I feel I've been doing this long enough to not consider myself more than a newbie but less than an expert so i just feel dumb asking questions that at my stage I should already know. anyways, thanx for the time. Take it easy.
