i have some question to give:
1)is it possible to use the same ecf(created and modified) of a movie made in a particular resolution whit a new movie whit another one?..create a new ecf is a long and borious process so i want not repeat it all again for hours to make a new movie that could be put in one cd..
2)I see that gknot (and nandub surely) set keyframes basing by the scene detecting and by a periodical number of deltaframe...the only way to set the minimum number of deltaframe that are not scene detecting is 999 in max distance and 2 in min distance...to create a movie with only the right keyframes(only scene detecting) ,but however will be created wrong keyframes..surely less that could be made with gknot standard settings, but still far from perfection..they will be deleted only manually. there is not a value that "automatically" delete all those superfluous keyframes?..the think is more irritating since i want make a divx in only "both Passes" in that case i can't modify ecf and i can't either modify the keyframes value of min and max
3)i see that this question is not linked to the others i posted:
many people says that lower resolutions solve the problems of Block on the walls..but i see that is the contrary; infact in highter resolution pumping the sharpness(to value of 2.5-3.0) create details that the codec recognize , and so giving more bitrare, saturate the right pump that a particolar scene require. surely i can't made a film all with that value( because at the end it will need the number of 4-5 cd), but only particular scenes, making a work of cut and past.
about that i have seen that sharping in a lower resolution will create details that will be virtual and not realistic, giving at all the scene a sense like of a visible shit filter.
i want know what are you thinking about.
i hope in a fast answer about my first question because the first pass of a divx is ending and i don't know if i can use the old ecf :)
please post your impression and experiences about the use of the filter because i am interested
