View Full Version : Extract video from OGG-stream-> no more keyframes?!

I want to dub "The Others-vite.avi" (OGG format) with the german screener sound.
So I demuxed the video stream using graphedit and avimux with full interleaving (as described in another thread).
I use the latest Ogg DS filter 0.9.8.5.
The video only avi can be played, but when seeking it, it seems that the avi have no keyframes anymore (or at least not 'marked' as those). The picture is corrupted until the next (not real) 'key-frame'.
In VDUB I can play it, but any other seeking an key-frame stepping results in error -100 (cannot read frame or sth. like this)

Is this a problem off the ogg-stream-demuxer or the video stream itself (I think it was DIV3)???

Can anybody help me, please?

Thnx&Bye

Have you tried running it through VDub to re-make the keyframes? Or whatever it's called...

of course, because I want to mux another audio to it.

using the direct stream copy to save the avi did not affect the video stream. it could only be "repaired" with recompression, but this isn't what I want...

When you open the AVI in Vdub, have you tried ticking the 'extended options' box and activating 're-keying' ?

That's actually what I meant in my first post. Just didn't know how to call it coz I didn't have VDub at hand :)
