I've been using GKnot, so that's why I'm posting here. One thing has been really bugging me - the quality of scenes with very low brightness and low contrast (low luma noise). I would describe the picture as grainy and occasionally blocky. I get this problem with both DivX3.11 and DivX4, but not with Xvid. Due to the fact that Xvid is still in development, I am not interested in using it. Does anyone have any special technique in dealing with it? The first pass gives it a low frame size to start with, which means I can't boost the frame size. TIA.
