can a burned DVD that was burned using Fireburner be played in a Playstation 2 unit. You can play regular DVD's in the unit.

I tried a DVD-RW in my friends PS2 the other day and it worked fine. :sly:

:eek: Did you say DVD-RW? Are you sure? I thought of the myriad DVD formats only DVD-R is compatible with the PS2.

Yes, that was DVD-rw ...note the hyphen. It wasnt a backup of a commercial release though, it was just some music vids authored in SpruceUp, so, I guess I really cant say if Fireburner would work, I have never used it. It played just as flawlessy as it did in my Apex ad-500wm.

xtremehockey, I think you're referring to a DVD that is burned to CD as SVCD correct? In that case, it will not play on a PS2; you'll need to use a DVD player that is capable of playing SVCDs. For a comprehensive list, see http://www.vcdhelp.com after they resolve their server problems.
