I have followed the guide on how to use the Gknot but when its done there is 2 .avi files an none of them have audio at all but there is a .mpa file whit the sound.
I donīt understand why there is no sound in the movie when I have followed the guide, is there something else that I have to do that it doesnt say inte the guide?

I can't tell without looking at your GKnot log file -- maybe not even then -- but:

If you set dvd2avi to demux all tracks you should have had one or more ac3 files in your working directory.

If you set the "Audio 1" tab to point to the correct .ac3 file, set Azid and Lame parameters correctly -- either the default in GKnot, or Doom9's recommendatations that require installing Lame 3.91 on top of GKnot 0.23...then you should have seen:
two passes of Azid to convert ac3 to wav
Lame to convert wav to mp3
interleaving of mp3 and avi in nandub after all vdub passes (DivX4)
The movie I am working on does not have AC3 sound so I didīt use that option but maybe I should use AC3 sound anyway?

Maybe I should start att the begining.
After using DVD2AVI the sound is in a .mpa file, is that corect?

look at the IFO text file created by dvd2avi. It will show you all of your sound streams. ac3 = dolby digital. If you have no dolby digital audio, your sound might be mpeg audio. Sorry, I've no experience with it.

Search the forum for "mpa" and you might find additional assistance that way.

I am going to try the MP3 codec you sugested, it seems that there is no MP3 file or it doesnīt do anything whit it or whatever...

Azid is unable to convert ac3 to mp3 because you are not selecting an ac3 file. Azid, which GKnot uses to transcode audio, expects an ac3 file. This is dolby digital sound.

Instead, you are selecting an mpa file. This tells me that you are either using dvd2avi in modes not recommended by Doom9's guides, or, you are using a DVD that does not have dolby digital sound -- or both.

Are you using DVD2AVI with Demux all tracks selected? If you are, any Dolby Digital sound streams will be extracted as separate ac3 files.

Did you look at the IFO text file created by DVD2AVI? What does it show for your sound streams?

Some additional thoughts:

If the sound stream(s) are all mpeg2, and there are no dolby digital audio tracks .. GKnot will not directly support it. You will have to transcode the mpeg2 sound into mp3 format and interleave it into the avi video manually.

You can use Lame to convert from mpeg2 (mpa) into mp3 format directly.
search on "MPA" for information.

You can interleave the sound and video manually with nandub.
Doom9 has a guide to show you how.

One more thing. The IFO text file I asked you to look at is created by SmartRipper. :stupid:

When I try to weiv the ifo-file windows comander starts it up as a mediafile..

Thanx for the help anyvay i vill try these new things or maybe I vill try a movie whit AC3 sound to se if that works at all.

The movie I am working is NOT a movie whit AC3 sound.

You can stiil use GKnot, but you have to do one step manualy. Rename mpa file to mp2, and process the audio with lame. When it's done, you have the checkbox in GKnot which says "just mux", point to your mp3 file and start encoding normaly.

Hope this helps.

Hey, tanks, will do.

After some time and nothing working I simply renamed the .MPA to .MP3 and it worked, now I am happy :)
