Okay everyone. I've tried this a couple of different times and now I need some help. I've ripped the main movie vob's. There are 5 different sets of them by the way. Then in ifoedit in order to reduce size I have removed the japanese audio and the subtitles, leaving just the english audio. When i play this back there is no audio available, although ifoedit shows english as being the available track. As a side notee before i use ifoedit the playback is in japanese only and I cannot switch it to english in file mode of powerdvd. However, when i play directly from disc the default audio is english. If i have not confused all of you, please drop me a solution, thanks.

With these anime dvds that contain 5 episodes with 5 main movie vob sets I do the following (put half on one dvd and the other half on another)
1. Rip entire dvd with "File" method (Smartripper)
2. Move main vob files to another directory (make sure its total size is < 4.37gb.
For example: VTS_06_1.VOB, VTS_07_1.VOB, VTS_08_1.VOB
(you can check to see which episodes these are with dvd2avi)
3. Change VTS_06_1.VOB to VTS_01_1.VOB
4. Change VTS_07_1.VOB to VTS_01_2.VOB
5. Change VTS_08_1.VOB to VTS_01_3.VOB
6. Open ifoedit and click on "Create IFOs"
(point to directory with VOB files you just renamed)
7. Ifoedit should create usable IFO files, But the subtitles don't look right (sorta green and unreadable).
Subtitle fix for method above:
1. open Original VTS_06_0.IFO and open newly created VTS_01_0.IFO with 2 IFOEDIT windows. So you can copy hex codes from one window to another.
2. Go into VTS_PGCITI/VTS_PGC_1
3. Look for 16 lines that look like "Color 0 Y Cr CB". These lines control how the subtitle looks. Just copy the hex codes from the original IFO file to the new IFO file. If IFOEDIT crashes, just keep trying and saving.
4. Then test out with powerdvd xp or something.
