Svcd --> Dvd

I like to say thank you for all your hard work in doing the svcd to dvd post but 95% of use DON"T and CAN"T get the program you all are useing. DVD Maestro is not even made anymore and Twins Files Meger v1.0 can't find anywhere. O i can find 2.0 but can't use it becasue i need to merg more then 2 files. So i guess all i really want to now if what other program can i use that i can get like freewere that the two programs i need to do this svcd to dvd. if i can;t do this i might as will take the dvd burner back and get my $$ back becasue all i want so to change all my svcd to dvd. So plezzz help a guy in need here :)

all you need is 3 programs. spruce up, dvd patcher, and tmpgenc (version 2.0 is fine)

ok what is spruce up? i have the other 2 program. and i onlt don't want to reencode the svcd to dvd format. i was playing around with stuff the other day. and i d/l 3 samply svcd they where all ntsc. my dvd play cant play pal. i open dvd patcher and changed all the files to 720x480 left the bit rate all the same. then i open up dvdit pe and but then in there and it changed the sound to dd 5.1. and burned. then i play it on my computer it's all messed up BUT then i put it on my dvd play on the tv and played it when it loads the frit 1sec or 1/2 a sec the movive is all mess up but then snaps in and plays it in WS it looked great. it's took 5mins to do. Like to now if anyone eles tryed this. Also some sample i tryed the sound if off i think i messed up the file playing around with it so much i have not tryed to d/l it again and start with a new file. it's only played out of sysn if dvdit pe changed the sound to dd 5.1.

ok now i need to merg 3 svcd files to one and make it all work how do i do that i used tmpeg and it did it but then i can't open it i think it messed it up bad.

Spruce DVD Maestro 2.0 build 2053 what iam i need to do this damn think. if you all are going to talk about do svcd to dvd and stuff at lest use program EVER one and get and use. i have 1 week left untill i cant take this dvd burner back and i want to at lest make a svcd to dvd befor then if not i might as well take the shit back and get that 19' LCD i was looking at befor the dvd burner.

It is very easy to convert SVCD to DVD...

First, demutiplex Mpeg file (SVCD). You have to re-encode audio from 44.1 to 48 Khz. Multiplex video with new audio, as an MPEG-2 VBR (Not as SVCD).

Second, use dvdpatcher to change resolution from 480x480 to 352x480. Load it to SpruceUp. That may takes about 10 min. Then delete it and close Spruce-up.

Third, Use DVDpatcher to change resolution back again to 480x480.
Load it again to SpruceUp. This time there is a memory file that remembers the first time you load the MPEG file to Spruce, so it will only take about 20 seconds.

Fourth, Now you have to author it (Menu, etc..)

Fifth, make compilation and burn...

i like to say thank you i almost gave up. i look on all the sites you gave me befor you told me i didnt look on vcdhelp.com becasue they need down for 2 1/2 days and didn't think they come back BUT they did. and IAM going to give ppl the links so they don't have to go what i when thought for 2 days.

if you have more then 1 file of svcd like i do after you demutiplex use Twins File Merger to put them back to 1 file. i use tmpgenc to do this and it realy messed up my files. you can get it here http://www.twins-software.com/

ALL are demos or freewere and can be use in make svcd--->DvD

Oh man...so close. I dont know where I went wrong. When spruce compiles everything it says the project size is 1.5 GB but the image file and the video_ts folder AND the dvd i make are only 800 megs. grrrrrr... any help would be very appreciated

i used that twinsoft program to join the files after tmpeg totally lost sync for me on the 2nd half.


UPDATE- for some reason when i join the mpegs i end up with a 1.5GB file but when i play it it only shows the first half of it, like i never joined them together.... advice?

i TELL have not gotten this shit to work. ever merg program i have tryed messup the hearder for the file. Like what happen to you i dont now how to fixs it and no one seams to now how or just will not talk.
