Cannot open the vfapi file in virtual dub.

I made the pseudo avi file with vfapi converter, but when i tri to open it in v-dub, it says that it cannot recognize the file type.

The video is The fast and the furious and the specs are as follows:

16:9
23.976
FILM
progressive

Does anyone know of any extra steps i should be taking to frame serve this DVD?

the error message should be quite obvious.. you didn't install the vfapi codec so vdub has no idea how to decode the video data

No I did install the codec, i encoded another movie 29.97fps, FILM, progressive w/ac3 audio just dandy....but this one will not go!
