Audio Sync

I have used DVD2SVCD to rip a movie a friend of mine wants but on each occasion the voice sync is out. I have tried using various rippers with no success. The picture quality is first class but the sync thing is driving me up the wall. Any help would be appreciated. The details of my PC are as follows:-

AMD 1500 XP CPU

Asus A7V 266 Mobo

512 mb DDR Ram

ATI Radeon 64 DDR graphics

Creative Live Player Soundcard

Toshiba DVD 1502

Plextor 24 10 40 Writer

Fireburner used to burn BIN file

Try reading the DVD2SVCD forums - I guess this question has been asked and answered many times....
