View Full Version : DVD2AVI extracted a .MPA file, now what??

I have a title which has MPEG audio and ofcourse i want it to be MP3 so i can mux it in .AVI, how im going to get the .MPA file to MP3 ??

Convert it to WAV with winamp (or any other tool like cdex); then you can compress it to mp3 with the tool of your choice.

Actually, you can pass an MPA or MP2 file directly into LAME if you add --mp2input. It can be comined with the --alt-preset X switches as well.

BeSweet also supports mpa inputs.

I recently had the same issue come up,
did the winamp thing, but when playing
it thru winamp noticed that the audio
clip length was shorter than the video
and the delay was zero ms (not sure if
the latter is gunna be a problem or not).

I am currently running the DivX conversion
job, so I'll see in the morning, but if
anyone has comments as to why the lengths
would mismatch straight out of the ripper
(had to use vStrip), I'd like to hear...
