This may well have been answered before, but after a bit of a look around i didn't come accross it (i actually posted this in the Div4 forum accidently...sorry). Last night as i was ripping my Space DVD, i got sick of doing each segment once at a time and wanted to do 2+ whilist i slept. So i started it up, configured it all and made sure i set 2 seperate log files....however when i woke up this morning, only 1 had completed it's encoding. The other didn't due to some error. They both started off fine tho. I suspect this might be because the second instance of Xmeg running required to utilise the Analyse.log file, and i couldn't because the first was. Am i right? If so...what can i do to get around this problem? I can't find an option to specify it to use a different file other than the analyse.log....and i really want to get these out of the way in 1 or 2 nights.
Help guys?

Hi,
Been a while since I used Xmpeg, but yes I have gotten it run two different encodes at the same time.
However, remember that the two use up more cpu resources than one, and that your encoding time will probably be longer running two different jobs at once rather than one at a time.
As for the analyse.log file, try renaming the file before you start up both of them. That is, use the analyse.log for one, and create a new log file for the other....

Yes i understand that, but the whole point of this is so they all encode whilist i'm asleep.
The analyse.log is not a file you can manually specify, those logs for the 2 pass encode and different.

It seems that the analyse.log file always gets created in the folder which you direct the output .avi file to.
Therefore if you send your output .avi files to different folders, your problem may be solved.
Haven't done it myself, but it may be worth a try.
