Installing the latest version of ASPI from adaptec's website will result in fairuse telling you no dvd drive was found...reinstalling the previous version of aspi will correct the error.

it also "breaks" EAC. adaptec will release an update when they fix this problem.

Ain't much room for error...everything works fine with old aspi layer..install new layer..reboot...no dvd drive found by fairuse...reinstall old layer on top of new..reboot...everything works fine again...running 4.60 now.

I know... it was just to tell that I can do DAE with aspi 4.70
so it must lie in bad programmering in EAC or configuration

To the person who says 4.70 is working for you with fairuse...what os are you running? Win 98/ME, Win 2000 or Win XP?

I'm runnig WindowXP pro Danish version.
I have installed ASPI i4.60 with ForceAspi from doom9's site and alter on upgrader with the Adaptec 4.70 version.
I have tried using FU with the anime movie Urotsukidoji. and it ripped perfectly.
I have ripped some danish TV show cd production with Eazy cd-extractor 4.61.

just make sure u use the readme file if u running winxp as it has a different install procedure to just running the setup.exe. I can say that if the instructions are followed properly then these aspi layer drivers work flawlessly with all programs requiring aspi installed. Also i am getting about a 3.14% increase in speed with my Pioneer A05 Drive. Eac and fairuse have no probs with these drivers under winxp professional SP1
