I have to say I really dig this new version and I just wanted to give props to the author. Thanks man this program really works Great. I have allways had probs with CCE, so this is great!

I can only second that. The program works excellently with TMPGenc. This is a real step forward.

I really haven't been able to make a good comparison yet but I venture to say that TMPGenc might have an edge over CCE with accuracy motion prediction.

I am running some tests using the Bitrate analyzer comparing quantitizations and I believe the results look promising for TMPGenc (2 VBR pass vs. 3 pass CCE).

Anybody else have any colser test results?

24hourloop, if possible could you include CQ mode in your test with a min of 755 and a max of 2496?

I do think we will need to be careful as I suspect the "sweet" bitrate for one, may not be for the other. They are different programs with different encoding techniques.

Actually, ive been having a bit of trouble using the CQ settings. Most of the times, the last .bin gets a 900mb size.

Can someone enlighten me on some good tested settings?
