I have the following PCs available

1 X 1.7Gig P4 512MB SDRAM 133Mhz
1 X 1.3 Gig P4 640Megs RIMM 400Mhz
2 X Althon 1GIG 512MB SDRAM 133Mhz

I capture on the 1.7 GIG and use the network to transfer work to each of the PCs, whats the best arrangement to do this?, unfortunatly all PCs are using Windows ME (its legal), Would I see much speed increase going to NT4/Win2K ? (dont like XP).

Is there an better alternative than using CCE 2.64 on each PC ? ; some kind of super cluser approch?

Regards

Amir

p.s. the final content is written to DVD using a Dual Celeron 500Mhz thats just a burning station.

You are prolly better off installing win2k and the service packs for it... Should speed up the networking a bit.

And all the security patches, since you're at it.

dont need 'em, you dont REALLY think I'd allow a Windoze box to have raw access to the internet?, i'd be hacked black and blue. My gateway is a Linux box which also acts as my firewall ;-)
