perhaps it's not the good forum to ask ...
i tried to change the header for a wav compressed mp3 file
( one i just extracted from an avi)
but wavemp3.exe give me a warning when trying to strip the file
"... is not a valid MPEG layer III wave-file header...'
and refuse to convert.
what is weird is that i just tried whith a wav i got from an mp3
for test with wavmp3 function 'wave!'
and still the same error when trying the reverse operation.
Is it a bug,
if not, how can i reverse the process ?
( hexediting or any other tool)

thanks ,
esby

Good point, but only players able to open both wav and mp3 do that,
a program that doesnt open wavs wont even see the file.

@MaTTeR
i asked to DSPguru why he asked esby why he wanted to remove the header
because he asked esby why he wanted to remove a header and i wanted to know why he asked esby why he wanted to remove a header
but why you ask me why i asked to DSPguru why he asked esby why he wanted to remove the header?
