Hi,
This is my first post here, Im new and I realize I might be asking in the wrong place for this information, if that's the case It would be much appreciated if you could redirect me to another forum, or if this thread is under the wrong topic feel free to move it.
Anyway, my problem is this: I downloaded a SVCD using cute ftp, I terminated the download and resumed it at about 7mb in (I realize it would have been wiser to just restart the download but...he what's done is done.) So baiscally it seems that the resume function has nuked the video, basically throwing the full file over the 7mb already on my HDD corrupting it. (the vid plays untill it hits the part where I resumed and from then on it's giberish and bright colors)
So I was hoping this mistake could be repaired. I read somewhere about modifying the index of the file, but would using virtual dub to cut the front off the video work? I realize virtual dub was designed for avi and this file is SVCD mpg format so if there's another program that could do it I would welcome any suggestions :)
