Can anyone please help?. I have been struggling with this title for 4 nights. Have tried to rip just the movie, but end up with all the director's stuff aswell.

Me too, i even had problems playing this dvd (a couple of scenes, during 10sec, repeated themselves). I ended up with flaskmpeg, while i normally use dvd2avi. I recommend the same :-)
I really tought it wasn't worth it to spend some hours on this one...

Best regards,

view it using DVDX and select just the vob you need to rip

This is how I managed to do it:
copy the main movie vobs to hdd using DVDecryptor (7 vob's + the .ifo file)

I then used Vobrator to check the content of each vob file,
then used Ifoedit v0.87, load the main movie .ifo (vts_02_0.ifo)
hit "vob extras" on the next screen check everything except
Remux, rebuild PTS and remove angle pointers,
select your destination dir (don't change the default file name)
hit ok, next screen select your audio and sub picture (if needed)
I just selected the english ac3 soundtrack,
hit the "strip it" button, on the next screen only select the following vob id's
2,3,4,6,7,8,10,11,12,14,15,16,18,19,20,22,23,24,26,27,28,30,31,32,34,
35,36,37,39,40,41,43,44,45.47,48,49,51,52,53,55,56,57 and 59
once everything is stripped, reload vts_01_0.ifo (this was created during the stripping process) hit "get vts sectors"
then just burn in your normal way
personally I use the "create disc image" button and burn the disk as an image as I can't get any other method to play on my pioneer DV717

hope this helps:)
if not ask more
